Artist/Company Bio:
For the last twenty years, Wendy Beth Jackelow has been working as a medical and scientific illustrator from her studio on Staten Island, New York. She works fluidly between traditional media and the computer in order to complete artistic and accurate art programs for her clients and often includes family and friends as models. Wendy is deeply interested in design and the power and beauty of visual communication. She graduated with honors from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in Biology and continued her studies at the Rochester Institute of Technology where she was awarded a M.F.A. in Medical Illustration. Wendy is also a Certifed Medical Illustrator (CMI). In addition to her pursuit of her medical illustration career, Wendy is also currently studying printmaking at the Art Lab, Snug Harbor Cultural Center, under the guidance of Herman Zaage. She and husband are also the proud, but tired, parents of two small boys.
