In 30 years of experience, Delilah has taken an analytical and creative approach to each project, with an appreciation for the intended audience. In medical-legal cases, she becomes part of the litigation team, helping to develop strategy and to suggest the best way to visualize complex concepts, injuries and surgery. Delilah received her B.S. degree from the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago in Medical Art and her M.F.A. degree from Syracuse University in Illustration. She was a medical illustrator & supervisor at Upstate Medical Center, SUNY, Syracuse for seven years before founding the Medical Illustration Studio. She received the Association of Medical Illustrators' Outstanding Service Award in 1998 & served on the Executive Committee/Board.
She has illustrated textbooks on knee & shoulder surgery, hip arthroscopy, laparoscopy, Novak's textbook of Gynecology, head and neck surgery, heart surgery, neuorology and cerebral palsy. A permanent exhibit on prenatal human development is at the Cumberland Science Museum. Among her clients are physicians at Yale, Vanderbilt, Syracuse and many private practitioners, Attorneys, publishers, medical product companies and designers. Her art has appeared in numerous journals and presentations, both commercial and scientific. Praises from clients can be found on her web site.
