Bonnie still passionately and vividly recounts experiencing Michaelangelo "The Six Captives" as a child. The human forms swelling from massive and raw stone, the unfinished figural sculptures so moved and impressed her that they became a defining influence in her own work. Her passion for art and science resulted in a unique style that is a study in fluid line and movement which often surprises the viewer by culminating with a small area of exquisite realistic detail. After graduating with a BFA from Berkley, Bonnie spent 2 years painting at Art Center College in Pasedena and then on for training in medical illustration and a MA in Biomedical Communication from the University of Texas. Bonnie has over 30 years experience in creating provocative and informative illustrations for clients in a sectors of the medical and pharmaceutical communities.
