 Marie's professional background includes a Masters Degree in Medical Illustration from John Hopkins School of Medicine. After graduation Marie worked as a medical illustrator/art director for Consultants in Medical Education, a medical video production company in New York specializing in physician education. Her award winning medical animations are featured in many educational shows including: Cancer and the Immune Systems, Dilemmas in Angioplasty, Interferon and Cardiac Catheterization, among others.

Marie started her own business in 1991 based in Reston, VA. She has worked on numerous educational videotapes and CD-ROMs as well as print materials for medical clients. some of her clients include: American College of Cardiology, Scientific American, National Geographic Society, National Institutes of Health, Scholastic, W. B. Saunders Company, and the American College of Radiology.

Marie is active with her professional association, the Association of Medical Illustrators, being a member of the Board of governors and a trustee for the Vesalius Trust for Health Education.
